Message from ANZ Country Manager

Our Passion is well defined: We go above and beyond to understand how we can help and reach more patients…..

Established in Europe in 1906, Norgine is a leading European specialist pharmaceutical company that has been bringing transformative medicines to patients for over a century.

Everything we do is centred around our Corporate Mission – “To successfully develop, launch and grow innovative brands to take us from Today’s Business to Tomorrow’s Business”.

Norgine has a direct presence in 12 European countries, as well as Australia and New Zealand. We also have a strong global network of partnerships in non-Norgine markets. We are a flexible and fully integrated pharmaceutical business, with manufacturing (Hengoed, Wales and Dreux, France), third party supply networks and significant product development capabilities, in addition to our sales and marketing infrastructure. This enables us to acquire, develop and commercialise specialist and innovative products that make a real difference to the lives of patients around the world.

Norgine Pty Limited was first incorporated in Australia in 1973 although Norgine’s products were available through local sales agents well before that time. The Australian business, based at our headquarters in Frenchs Forest in the northern suburbs of Sydney, is a subsidiary of its Dutch parent Norgine B.V.

Over the years Norgine Pty Limited has provided a range of pharmaceutical products for a variety of conditions and we have gradually expanded into new therapeutic areas. Norgine is now in the top 50 pharmaceutical companies in the country.

Our diverse portfolio covers medications that are available in the grocery sector, to Pharmacies, or on Prescription from a doctor. Norgine introduced MOVICOL®, our current highest selling product, onto the Australian market in 1998. More recent product introductions have included MOVIPREP® (2008), XIFAXAN® 550 mg (2012) and PLENVU® (2018), with several new products in the pipeline.

The Frenchs Forest office houses Marketing, Finance & Administration, HR, Medical, and Regulatory functions. Physical distribution of Norgine products to wholesalers and customers is conducted in partnership with Healthcare Logistics, a member of the EBOS Group of Companies.

In addition Norgine continues to invest in the development of patient and healthcare professional educational materials and information to support existing brands of medicines. Norgine Pty Limited is a member of Medicines Australia. Medicines Australia is a body that represents the discovery-driven pharmaceutical industry in Australia. You can find out more about Medicines Australia on their website www.medicinesaustralia.com.au

Finally, what makes Norgine special? “We are inspired by our patients, we harness our entrepreneurial spirit and work together as One Norgine to help people to live better and healthier lives”.
